Professional Bridal Makeup
Thoughtfully Included in Your Wedding Experience
Why Professional Makeup Is Part of the Experience
Over the years, I’ve learned that incredible wedding photography doesn’t start when I lift my camera — it starts with how a bride feels before the first photo is ever taken.
The wedding industry can be overwhelming. With so many opinions, trends, and expectations, it’s easy for brides to feel unsure about what will truly help them look and feel their best. And while photography preserves the memories, makeup plays a quiet but powerful role in how those memories are experienced for a lifetime.
That’s why, beginning with select weddings, professional bridal makeup is intentionally included as part of the Crystal Horton Photography wedding experience.
This decision was made to reduce stress, elevate confidence, and ensure that every bride steps into her wedding day feeling both beautiful and fully supported.
Professional makeup is not about changing how you look — it’s about enhancing what’s already there.
Who You’ll Be Working With
I’ve partnered with Lashes & Winks, by Maggie Nelson, a professional airbrush makeup artist with over a decade of experience in bridal beauty. She is my primary and preferred makeup partner, selected not only for her skill, but for her calm presence, professionalism, and understanding of how makeup translates beautifully on camera.
This partnership allows me to confidently offer an experience where photography and makeup work together, not separately.

How the Process Works
- Your wedding photography date is booked with Crystal Horton Photography LLC
- I coordinate availability directly with Lashes & Winks
- Once confirmed, she becomes your direct contact for all makeup-related details
- On the wedding day, makeup services are professionally provided and managed seamlessly
- Payment to the makeup artist is handled directly by me
If my primary makeup partner is unavailable, I will provide a $80 professional makeup credit toward a licensed makeup artist of your choice, ensuring quality and professionalism remain a priority.
Why This Matters for Your Photographs
Professional makeup is not about changing how you look — it’s about enhancing what’s already there.
From a photography standpoint, professionally applied airbrush makeup:
- Creates smoother skin tones on camera
- Reduces harsh lighting challenges
- Minimizes post-production corrections
- Allows for a more natural, timeless final image
Most importantly, it helps brides feel confident when viewing their photographs — without comparing them to filtered phone images or wishing something had been done differently.
This partnership exists so that your memories are preserved with care, intention, and joy — without regret.
